Established in 2005 by owner Leanne Gablonski, A Shabby Streak is a shabby chic and French Provincial gifts and homewares store in the Bayside suburb of Brighton. Initially in a smaller store just 400 metres away, A Shabby Streak expanded in February 2008 and moved into our infamous ‘Pink House’ on the corner of Beaconsfield Terrace & North Road. Enjoy wandering & browsing through every beautifully arranged room each designed for specific areas; Kitchen Room, Bedroom & Manchester, Bedroom & Homewares, Children’s & Girls’ room, Lace & Beading room & Bathroom.

At A Shabby Streak, we understand the importance of finding beautiful, unique pieces that you wouldn’t usually see in a department store. We travel around Australia in search of stunning Shabby Chic & French Country pieces as well as sourcing some items internationally. The team at A Shabby Streak love being creative, not only with arranging our stock; we hand make gorgeous one-off pieces including lamps, bears, coat hangers, diaries & notebooks, hair accessories, girls clothing and much more! We also restore beautiful old furniture, and transform them into stunning shabby chic one-of-a-kind pieces.

Our community is very important to us at A Shabby Streak. We provide our customers with beautiful gift wrapping for a donation to Think Pink Cancer Research. With many thanks to customers’ donations, we have been able to raise over $3500 and counting!
